Safety First

At E Construction Ltd. safety is the number one priority. Our goal on every project is zero incidents and a lost time accident frequency of zero. No part of our business is more important than safety. In 2014, E Construction Ltd. (consolidated with NWT Construction) had zero time lost for injuries throughout the year and was awarded the prestigious Crystal Woodpecker Award. It is one of Colas Group's highest honours and was presented in Paris, France to President Doug Ellett on February 4, 2015.

E Construction Ltd. is committed to the protection from accidental loss of all its resources, including employees, subcontractor personnel, physical assets and the public. We lead by example and expect all employees to follow suit. Safety is everyone’s responsibility and an integral part of our culture and values. Our safety program involves specialized safety and job specific training for employees as well as safety committees utilizing management and field personnel. E Construction Ltd. recognizes that it takes everyone to create and maintain a healthy and safe work environment.

Environmental Impact

Pursuit of excellence in environmental monitoring and best practices is an attitude that has carried clear through the rank and file of E Construction Ltd. thanks to a strong base of support starting at the top. There are consequences to all environmental actions and it is the responsibility of every company to ensure environmental compliance and, beyond that, leadership. E Construction Ltd. has made strides reducing its carbon footprint, recycling asphalt, using warm mix and becoming a leader in environmental monitoring, thanks to the hard work of both supervisors and workers. Our efforts have led to a greater awareness of environmental impacts, enabling us to encourage biodiversity on work sites and acknowledge the species that live where we work.

E Construction Ltd. was the proud recipient of the 15th Annual Alberta Roadbuilders & Heavy Construction Association Environmental Award for reduced environmental impact. It was presented to Environmental Advisor, Dan McKinley in Banff, AB on November 21, 2014.
